廖孟鈴以輕快的童趣凹凸造型與孩子般的想像交織在一起，創作了一系列稚拙可愛的圖像散文，記錄她與孩子的生活。這組散步系列作品靈感來自女兒的塗鴉，創作成各式各樣的奇怪角色。岩石形狀的大地色調以凹版印製，象徵現實生活的場景，與樹木、動物和房屋的造型結合在一起，就像改編版的冒險記事，帶著幽默與趣味性。

Meng-Ling Liao’s brisk forms, interwoven with the child-like images in space conjure a series of uncompromising visual prose.  The earth tones of rock forms in intaglio are incorporated with wood blocks of trees, animals, and houses.   Inspired by her young daughter, she resolves the challenges of different life roles as the juxtaposition becomes joyful and full of energy.

The process of creating made me feel focused and energetic. I like to create with imagination, which makes me feel that I can break away from the real world and float in the unfettered air, relaxed and happy.

The ups and downs of mood are shown in the works, the accumulated pressure is transformed into fragile and sensitive lines, and the current emotions are written smoothly, with a touch of bleakness.
