我的作品與生命歷程息息相關，創作是記錄著當下的情感，日常生活滋養而成的圖像與文字，在凝視與靜觀後化為線條、色塊， 堆疊構築成另一個世界。
我喜歡以版印的方式做為藝術創作的途徑，它能結合多種媒材的可能性是我對版畫最著迷的部份，我享受在製版時切割、撕扯、摩擦再重建的過程，期待印製後再打開羊毛毯的剎那間，凹凸並置，難以預期的質地，映入眼中的欣喜。
My creation records the emotions of the moment. The images and words nourished by daily life are turned into lines and color blocks after gazing and contemplating to form an artistic world.
I use printmaking as a way of artistic creation. The possibility of combining multiple media is what fascinates me about printmaking. I enjoy the process of cutting, tearing, rubbing and rebuilding when making plates. My works are related to the course of my life.
Biographical profile
Meng-ling Liao is an artist from Taiwan who received her M.F.A. from the National Taipei University of the Arts. Her life experience is the starting point for her creation. Her works have been exhibited in Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Europe, and the U.S. They have consistently won recognitions for National Art Competitions and are collected by National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts, galleries and collectors.
Printmaking, collage, and painting are her main creative methods. She uses the transformation process of her life course to show the variation and integration of female roles. Her works have changed from being a mother to being tender and childish. In her words: re-seeing from the eyes of children. This series of original printmaking originated from bath time. Based on her observations of flora and
fauna, she reveals the distinct characters with intaglio, woodblock in a storytelling joy.
